lately

I entered this big contest - some of you may have heard of it (the CK Hall of Fame). It's a big deal. Like 1000 people entered last year ( or so I've read). It was hard work. And it is hard to work all this time on pages that your pour your heart and soul into and then not win. Nothing. Nada. But really I didn't think I would. Really I am just trying to get my name out there and maybe get one published. That's something I want this year. We'll see how it goes. Just one page in CK. So even though I didn't think at all that I would win, I must admit I was a little sad when I didn't. Silly but still there. Then yesterday I was thinking, you know I really like the pages I did. And if they get published - cool. If not, I enjoyed it. And my kids have them to enjoy. And the rest of my family .And that is all that really matters. Since that is why I do this anyway. (and the fact that I love doing it.) So congrats to those winners (especially the ones I know!) But here is one of my pages. And I love it. Even if CK doesn't.

It will happen. You are too good at it for it not to. Just keep entering everything you can. It took my mom a long time, but look at her now. I love the look on Alden's face in the picture, and I don't need to say it, but I will - LOVE the page, LOVE everything you do, LOVE you too.

love the picture, the page, love the memories. I would love to scrapbook next to you, & hope some of your creativity and all that would rub off on me.

it is soo good to remember the warmth of summer with family in the cold and snowy March.

You are so creative. we enjoy seeing what you can do with dad's photo's. The combo of the your imagination and Alden's picture are winners to me.

Your page is lovely. The bright colors and the summer theme makes me happy.
So. You are right: Never mind not winning this contest even if it is a great dissapointment. You scrap for your own sake and for your kids, and thats all what matters.
And you are so good at this! ;-)
