Lucy's Art Party

Lucy's party was great. I had planned a girlie party since she has only ever invited girls... but this year she wanted a couple boys. I asked her multiple times if she was SURE she wanted those two boys and she always said yes. So we went with it and made some last minute adjustments.

When the kids first showed up, they started drawing on the paper that was covering the table.

First art project, was making people. I had at first called them dolls... but with boy guests we had to switch the name. We used pre sewed muslin dolls with fabric markers and fabric paint.

While Grandma Davis took each guest to do a melted art craft. Each kid did this and they all thought it was GREAT!

Then each guest painted a canvas.

And the cake.

For the goodie bags I made these in my printer and filled them with the popcorn. And then all their art crafts and the supplies they used to make them all.

It was an easy fun party. And the best part was Lucy and two of the other kids telling me it was the BEST part EVER since they love art :)

The cake is sooo pretty!

Aimee had a great time and she gave me a good run down when she got home and proudly showed me all the art she had made.

SUCH a cute party! All had a great time. Alli told me the cake was her favorite part, luckily she didn't ask for it for hers!

Okay, first of all, this was an EASY party??!! Are you kidding me? Your energy and imagination never cease to amaze me.

Second of all, the painting canvas idea is sheer brilliance, I am definitely stealing that.

Third of all, will you adopt me? Please? I promise to clean up after myself and I won't make you throw such elaborate parties for me. Half of this one would be all that I ask of you.

You really are a great mom. Creating all these great memories for your kids. This is where you should feel bad for my kids!

Super awesome! I was wondering if you were going to do a crayon melt craft when you were asking for broken crayons on facebook!

When I was in grade 2 we had one that we did by sticking a piece of paper on an old electric frying pan, and then melting the crayons on top of the paper. I loved that thing, I would sit at it as long as I possibly could. I was thinking about making one for Naomi for Christmas.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCY!!!
