In the Craft Room: The Church Bag

My kids spend the time in Sacrament Meeting at church drawing in notebooks. They listen and draw. And I like it. It's quiet and reverent but they can still hear what is going on. Well I got tired of carrying all the stuff for it. So I made Lucy this little bag. I call it her church bag.

Now it is FAR from perfect! I just made it up. And really I didn't know at ALL What I was doing. I don't have much experience making different types of bags! I have made a couple diaper bags from an Amy Butler pattern. Anywho, I wanted to combine a crayon roll with a bag that could carry her notebook too.

And little Lucy showing you how she wears it (notice her two shirts she is wearing?? she came up stairs two days ago with tights, a long sleeved shirt, a dress, then another shirt followed with a sweater vest.)

And this is how you twirl with it....

Alden has told me a few times that he needs a church bag. A boy one. So I've started one of those. And this time I hope I'll do a bit of a better job since I've tried it before. We'll see :)

And my favorite cookies from yesterday?? Well most ladies at the party mentioned the Grapefruit ones (they are quite different and yummy!) but I loved the Nut crescents and the Brownie ones. mmmmm (i've eaten a lot of cookies today!) :)

You are a creative wizard!! That's a great little bag - for a very cute girl :)) You could seriously sell these, you know! Or at least give them away for birthday party gifts :)

There are times you wish you could go back and these are one of those times. I would have loved to have had one for each of my kids at Lucy's age. They are fabulous!

And Lucy's church bag is darling! Such a great idea to add a crayon roll. You do so many creative projects. How do you do so much? Amazing.

Wow! Love your design. I promised the kids in my primary class at church that I'd make them their own scripture bag if they brought their scriptures to class 12 times. I made a protype for my daughter of my own design, but I may have to modify it now. I'll link to this when I get my own post up about the tote I made.
