On the Bookshelf: current reads

The current books I have purchased and a lot of which I have started (as it seems I constantly have more than one book on the go at once.....)

Living Simply With Children by Marie Sherlock
I am excited to start this one. Looks really good to me. And something I want to improve upon. Living Simply.

Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie
Which was my Book Club book last month, but I had to return it to the library before I finished it. And now I am way on the bottom of the wait list. So I got it off Amazon (should have done that to begin with but oh well!)

Hello Cupcakes by Karen Tack & Alan Richardson
(wait i didn't buy this one I got it from the library last night but I WANT to buy it. It totally rocks!)

One Year to an Organized Life by Regina Leeds
Which I've started reading and I am really enjoying it already. It has monthly goals all set out for you and covers every aspect of your life. I am already thinking of buying it for my momma.

I'm also in the middle of Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
Which is totally thought provoking and he has some amazing quotable lines!
What are you reading??

(sorry my pictures are so wonky!)

I'm glad you mentioned the Hello, Cupcake book. I have seen it mentioned by other people and have it on my christmas list (yes - we give out idea lists early!) I haven't actually seen the inside of the book but since you says "it totally rocks" - that makes me want it even more! hahaha

I am amazed at how many books you read. Mike says I could read that many too if I didn't scrapbook so much! (And he's probably right - I have become addicted to it and spend most my spare time scrapbooking - all thanks to you!!)

Question: Could you pass on some book titles that are good for getting toddlers to eat healthy and ideas for them? I think you mentioned a long time ago about some excellent books and I'd love to know what they are! Maybe put them on my Christmas wish list! Thanks Rhonda.

oh man, i've seen a couple of those books and the rest look oh so good! how do you find such great books, and the time to read them?! i'm totally reading the second twilight book right now. i think i'm about the last person to read them, and the slowest. i had the book for almost 2 weeks and i still have 200 pages to go. guess i'm not a true fan.

That cupcake book looks great.

Right now I'm reading "The Four Seasons of Marriage" by Gary Chapman - for a ladies bible study :)

Everything else is a kids book LOL

yeah I usually have about three of four books on the go myself. Sometimes you just are in the mood to read a specific type of book. I like some of those book ideas...you should post a list on your blog...or maybe you already have one.

I really enjoyed Mere Christianity. Right now I am trying to read Abolition of Man, also by Lewis, which I am finding a lot more difficult to read. Have you read that one?

I am also reading Mitten Strings for God for the second time. Love that book - helps with simplicity, I think!

Happy reading!
