1. Yes there are subway art left. I have 8x10 ($5) and 11x14($8) unframed. I have lots of all the Christmas Art left!

2. No monsters left. They sold out really well. I should have made more. Alden and Lucy both requested more. No dolls left either. Well except the one Eli has claimed and the one Lucy claimed.

3. Crayon Rolls are $5. And I totally have more!

4. The only picture I took of all the wood stuff and it doesn't even give a tiny bit of how much there was! I'll have to take some pictures of the ones I kept tomorrow to show you!


5. Yes busy much. Glad that Fabulous Friday (craft day at the church), the craft fair, almost all my booked 2010 shoots, mom & dad's 40th wedding anniversary are all over. Now I just have to finish editing the shoots I have and get them to all the clients. And enjoy getting ready for Christmas!!

And I just wanted to add Happy Anniversary to my mom and dad. Two wonderful people whom I love! I'd add a picture of them but I couldn't find the wedding picture of them I wanted too. Just pretend it's right down below :)

About the photos...

I do know some of the actors and actresses. I only showed you a very very few of the pictures. There is a HUGE pile of them. Some of the people in them are Ava Gardner (lots of her), Clark Gable , Dean Jagger, Yvonne DeCarlo, George Brent, John Mills, Valerie Hobson, Joan Fontaine, Louis Jourdan, Fred MacMurray, Jean Simmons, Anthony Wagner and more. Crazy I know. No idea about Antique Roadshow, but we have found a FEW things that I think are worth a lot of money. (including a hand sewn American Flag from the Civil War.)

Megan said...Holy Cow Rhonda , that is one of the coolest finds ever , so whats next ... just keep them? Or lock them up I bet they are worth a nice chunk of money! My dad wants to sell them. He has absolutely no emotional connection to them. But I kinda wanna keep some of them. We'll see.

Crystal said...Too funny about your friend not reading your forwards! So - why do you continue to send them if you know he won't read them? Regan says mostly he just sends things that he finds that are interesting. And most of the time it's an effort to encourage him to become a more well rounded individual. And even if he doesn't read them, he knows that Regan is encouraging him to become that way.

1. I need email addresses from Christal, Tisha, Sandy, and Jess for the poster. Email me at steedr at gmail dot com and then I can email it to everybody all at once. And YES Christina I can change the words to that easily. I will this week for you.

2. Jessie asked "Where did you get your chip board from?" I got a whole stock pile from a scrapbook store once. Before it was something they sold. It was back when I lived in Nova Scotia and I asked if I could take it home (since with every box of papers they get it has at least 2 pieces of 12x12 chipboard in it.) I'm still living off that stock pile. See it's GOOD to hoard things eh?? (can we convince Reg of that??) You can save the back of note pads - they are thinner chipboard. Or try the dollar store as they sell sb paper now. OR you buy one of those BIG pads of SB paper from Micheal's and it has a 12x12 sheet of chipboard at the back connected to it.


3. Visible Voice said "Okay so I'm totally WANTING to make a mini album. I'm wanting to make one that will be more like a creative organizer. A place that I can write blog post ideas, maybe put inspirations in it, have a place for project aspirations and just have it like...well yeah like an organizer. And I want it to be like this one that you made. But I have no idea where to start...and am nervous that it won't turn out very nice and also...I can't seem to finish projects that I start like that very well. Like I still have TWO recipe boxes to do. Any ideas??" YES. I'll show you step by step how to make one. One made completely from scratch and one taking an dollar store notebook and changing it into a cute creative organizer. Just give me a week or so and I'll show you how to do it!

4. Amy said Man, Eli was a dark haired newborn. Were all you babies like that?
Alden was pretty bald. Just enough to say there was hair. And it was dark. Lucy actually had long poker straight hair that stuck out all over the place. You know those babies with the crazy hair. But she had to have her head shaved in the NICU. At first they only shaved the top in a U shape. And I begged every day for them to shave the whole thing cause I didn't want the first thing I did when I finally got her home to shave my first GIRL'S head. The last day there they finally did. And she was then bald until oh about 2 YEARS old. :)

5. The Lowry's said...Question for you, where did you find your heart styrofoam wreath? I couldn't find one to save my life. So instead I bought a circle one and cut a heart out of it. It actually broke on me once I did that and I had to glue gun it together (shh) :)

Photo Talk: 3x Photography

Three Photo shoot ideas I think would be super fun:
1. One Year Anniversary: A year after a couple has been married, getting dressed up in different outfits. The wedding dress if it still fit, a skirt and shirt or dress, pants and a cute top. Different outfits, different locations. After a year (or more) you are more relaxed with your spouse. It's easier to show affection in front of someone else. And still hopelessly in love.

2. A Day in the Life: Following someone or a family around for a day or a while. A family doing something they love. Or just being together at home. Doing their regular playing and cooking, reading or cuddling.

3. Trash the Dress: oh I can not explain how much I wanna do that! Where girls get all fancied up and we go to grungy places and take fashion-ista pics. I have three locations in mind in Lethbridge that I think would be A.W.E.S.O.M.E.

Three Things I wish all photo clients would remember:
1. You are beautiful. There are beautiful things about everyone.
2. Relax. I'd rather have a serious face than a cheesy grin.
3. DON'T threaten your kids for pictures. EVER. Seriously EVER.

Three Things to make an especially good shoot:
1. Good light. (Right when the sun is going down is so the best. Beautiful golden light)
2. Relaxed parents who just let me interact with their kids naturally.
3. People who come knowing how to look and act in front of the camera

Three things you are likely to hear me say at a photo shoot...
1. You'd better have a little kiss now
2. Do you want to see my little trick?

Lucy's three tickets
1. Shoulder straps were not tight enough - he could fit in three fingers
2. the seat belt holding in her car seat wasn't tight enough (you are supposed to kneel on the seat and then buckle it in - he did it to show me....)
3. the top anchor wasn't hooked into the seat
Alden's
1. He had slipped the car seat from off his shoulder (I am always telling him not to do that.... but he does anyways)
Eli's:
1. Shoulder straps were not tight enough - he could fit in two and a half fingers
2. the seat belt holding in his car seat wasn't tight enough

You are only supposed to be able to fit in two fingers, not three and certainly not two and a half.....

Regan is applying in BC and Saskatchewan and Alberta. Mostly rural places but some urban too. Our first choice is Rural Alberta South based out of Lethbridge. But we'll see what happens. He is off to Vancouver tomorrow night for the BC ones.

And then we get to have some time with him for 10 days.
Which we are badly in need of.

Nope it's new! And it's pretty new, so you haven't been THAT unobservant. I just decided one day I needed a new one. One that is there, but less distracting. So that's what I've got for now.

"Question: Could you pass on some book titles that are good for getting toddlers to eat healthy and ideas for them? I think you mentioned a long time ago about some excellent books and I'd love to know what they are! Maybe put them on my Christmas wish list! Thanks Rhonda."

Books about feeding Kids that I just love love love.
1. First Meals by Annabella Karmel. This was my first book about feeding kids and I think it is an essential one. It starts from breastfeeding and goes all the way until kids are 5. (And it has some cute cute cute food.)
2. More First Meals by Annabella Karmel. I just got this one from the library and it is really good. It's exactly what it says, more good meals for kids. :)
3.Super Foods for Kids by Straten Van. I really like this one too. It talks a lot more about the science of food and why there are good for kids. I borrowed this one from my friend Kathleen back in Nova Scotia and really liked it. I spotted it at Homesense in their book section for $5. It was a steal! And it has the best minestrone recipe there is!

You need to select print to size when you go to print it. It's called something along those lines, fit to page, or just pick 95% and it should fit for sure. (The prayer cards are here.)

Breastfeeding. That's when I read most of the time. And with Eli around I do that a lot.

The patterned paper on the cover of my Calaway mini album is from the Scraptivity November 2008 kit. And it is made by We R Memory Keepers, the Nonsense line.

No, I don't have a cricut, but I'd LOVE one. It's one my list of SB tools I want. Along with the Bind-it-all and the Big Bite Crop-a-dile. One day maybe.
As for Scrapbooks, I have 1 6x6 album that is our dating, a set of K&Company 8x8 linen Albums, lots of mini albums that are in a basket on my piano, and then probably 20 full 12x12 albums (at least) maybe more. And I have enough pages finished and stacked to fill 3-4 more. Then a few 8.5x11 albums. Yes, I have a lot of albums. Regan jokes that I need a room just for those. :)

"Question: What happened at Canadian Tire?!"
Last week I posted about my trip to Canadian Tire. I went there are 10:30am with just Eli to have a "load test" done on my battery to see if it was toast. My dad told me the exact thing to say so I would look like I knew what I was talking about. They lost my keys twice, put on new tires (which I didn't order and I had brand new ones on their anyways, they told me I could keep the new ones - but I wanted MINE since I have a 5 year warranty on them), argued with me about it being my van or not (you'd think I would know what my own van would look like) and then finally hooked it up did the test and then had to put in a new battery. 5 hours later. Good thing I have a good baby.

I did make Cake pops, they were totally not that cute. So I didn't take a picture. But they did taste good. I think I need a LOT more practice before I get good at them. And an eatable marker. Trying to make faces on small cake pops with melted chocolate was.... hard!!!
